Since last three months we work very hard in 4 districts under north bengal area and almost completed our potato contract farming to engaged over 200 contract farmers for the first time to the practical knowledge, benefit to product our exportable good quality FRANCE POTATOES. Out of 200 farmers almost 99% farmers are very happy because of high production about 16-20 MTS production per acre and almost 93% potatoes are exportable and we pay higher value about Tk. 10.00 per kg when farmers are selling their potato only 5-7 taka per kg. See attached some picture for your kind reference about our france potato.

All our France potatoes are very good, big size tuber, white potato, yellow flesh, reducing sugar contents are nil, high productivity, suitable for fresh fries in fresh condition about 3-5 months. Many farmers visited our potato farms where we planted about 725 acres of land atlas potato for export purpose.

Thanks very much. This is indeed a very good initiative. Haven't seen much though on the 'real' non-corporate sectors catering for the BoP consumers. Hope to see some knowledge product on this issue soon.
