About My Work
Until recently, Advisor, International Development Consulting at ICRA Management Consulting Services Ltd (IMaCS), a India based trans-disciplinary consulting firm with a global footprint. Previously (and currently), an independent development researcher and consultant, and worked with a range of clients including multilateral and bilateral development aid agencies and occasionally, other agencies. Over 20 years of highly multi-disciplinary experience including with academia, industry, the non-profit sector, development research and consulting.
Research/consulting sectoral portfolio and expertise spans the development spectrum and includes policy and regulatory reforms, water supply, sanitation and related environmental health issues, emergencies, disaster relief and rehabilitation, environmental health, information and communication technologies (ICTs), energy, education, human rights (especially relating to women and children), policy research and analyses, and program/project design and management, monitoring and evaluation, among others.
Wide range of interests including Policy and regulatory reforms, global sustainability, climate change, climate impacts, and adaptation, economics of development, international relations, natural history, wildlife ecology, and also the mathematics of chaos, fuzzy logic and fuzzy theories, artificial intelligence, and theoretical and experimental high energy physics.
