The Business Innovation Facility was created to ensure such initiatives have every chance of success. We provide practical, hands-on advice and technical expertise, to support companies to develop or scale up inclusive business models.
Unlike many other business-focused donor programmes, the Facility does not provide finance. Our support comes as advice and technical assistance, at any stage of the business venture. We draw on a global network to find technical experts who can assess routes to market, develop supply chains, "stress test" a business model and tackle a host of other bottlenecks that companies face.
The Facility supports businesses operating in Bangladesh, India, Malawi, Nigeria and Zambia. We also support knowledge exchange on inclusive business at the international level.
The Business Innovation Facility is a three-year pilot programme running from July 2010 to June 2013, funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and managed by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and it's Alliance Partners. The work is delivered by a network of Country Teams supported by the Management Team in London. The Board and Selection Committee contribute advice and guidance on project selection.
*The Business Innovation Facility takes any instance of alleged dishonest or illegal activitiy (misconduct) extremely seriously and has zero tolerance to any incident of corruption. The Facility is grateful for all feedback and issues raised regarding any misconduct, and all information will be treated in the strictest confidence. We guarantee absolute anonymity and will ensure that all claims are investigated both thoroughly and fairly. Any whistle-blowing investigation is undertaken completely independently by the Business Innovation Facility Programme Manager to ensure that we provide an independent and anonymous channel.
If you would like more information on the whistle-blowing mechanism, or you wish to report misconduct please email inquiries@businessinnovationfacility.org. Please note this mailbox is regularly monitored.”
